JustFinished (justfinished.app) is made by Beach Plain LLC. This page says what we collect, why, and what we do not do.

What we collect

If you create an account we store your email, name, and a hashed password. We store the profile you write (display name, handle, bio), books you mark finished or save, optional ratings and notes, and messages you post in Talk.

Sign-in uses a session cookie. That session may include a browser user agent and IP address so we can keep you signed in and spot abuse.

If you buy a coffee, Stripe (Beach Plain’s account) handles the payment. We do not store your card number.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run ad trackers or sell lists. We do not use your reading or talk for ads.

What other people can see

Talk is a shared room. Your display name, handle, finishes, and posts are visible to other readers. Do not put a secret in a room.

Who helps us run the site

Cloudflare hosts the app and database. Resend sends sign-in and password emails. Better Auth helps with accounts. Stripe takes optional donations. They only get what they need to do that job.

Mail

We email you for account verify and password reset. We do not send marketing mail unless you later opt in to something like Who else? pings.

Children

JustFinished is for people 13 and older. Do not create an account if you are under 13.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and posts while the account is open. Email justfinished@beachplain.com if you want your account deleted. We will remove what we reasonably can. Copies in backups fade as those backups expire.
